...had a blast! This past summer, well really August, we got to spend some good times with the Anderson Family! First we saw them in Houston for Paige's rained out pool party! Then the following day we ventured out Kemah for some really heated boardwalk fun (pictured below, the Drews were too cool for the picture). The following week Alisa and I packed up the kids and went to Dallas for Ella's birthday bash! The kids loved swimming and the ice cream truck was a definite treat! Unfortunately for the kids, the following week we didn't take them along to Cancun where we played with the Hoangs (sans kids), Andersons, Sullivans and newly wedded Murphys! Great great times!
Just today at dinner Emmie asked if we could move to Dallas. I asked her if she was sure she wanted to move away from Ashley, Elly and her other cousins Kallie and Lance. She said no, and not Maddy either, but I really miss Ella. I want to see her! So sweet! We agreed on sending Ella a little something to let her know we were thinking of her! Don't let Ella know, Mica! I don't know if her was her little way of guilting me into taking her Dallas in a couple of weeks for Kellie's shower, but she got me a little! She heard me asking my mom if she'd be free so I could got to Dallas, she ran to Drew and said "Mommy is going to Dallas without us!" It may have been the end off the world with the tone she used! Gotta love it!
This summer is/was also bittersweet (can't believe its September)! It was the last summer where it didn't really matter if it was summer or not, we could go on trips whenever. Now Ems is in school so we now go on vacation when the rest of the world goes! Here's to all those summer days!
